Last night's episode with Ashley Ottesen was pure magic.
Ashley graduated high school in China (speaks Mandarin!), met her husband at a college football game while on a date with someone else, and now raises two hockey kids in New York while championing 1,800+ indie authors through 'Blind Date with a Book.'
Her philosophy? "Where I live now" - stay present, integrate wherever you are, feed your creative monster.
Her advice for creators: Authenticity + consistency. "If you're gonna do it for years at a time, make sure it's something you enjoy doing. Otherwise you're gonna hate it."
